Low & High Ropes Adventure Recreation

The Low and High Ropes Adventure Recreation is a program designed to give a group many challenges where they must work together to accomplish a task.  This is done through various games and initiatives.

  • Groups will begin with non-threatening trust games and initiatives which will lead up to the many challenges of the low and high ropes course.

  • During debriefing times, students will evaluate their efforts and discover many lessons applicable to their lives.

  • All elements are facilitated by trained and certified staff.

High Ropes . . .
involve elements that are 15-20 feet up.
Students will wear a harness and belaying
attachments as they are going through the elements.
From the time they leave the ground
until they are back on the ground,
students are attached to a belay device.

Low Ropes . . .
include getting a group over a ten foot wall,
walking along cables 18 inches
off the ground with only a rope for help,
walking across a swinging log,
getting the whole group through a tire porthole,
or getting across several tires
suspended a few feet from the ground.
