Youth on Mission

Girls’ Ministry

  • The purpose of girls' ministry is to grow godly young women through intentional ministry efforts. It is not an attempt to replace youth ministry programs in the local church but to supplement the youth ministry to ensure teen girls are receiving individual, special attention as they grow into young women.

  • Girls' ministry is based on five components – spiritual growth, mentoring, accountability, healthy Christian relationships, and missions/ministry involvement.

  • One way for a church to minister to young women is through mentoring/discipleship groups. Small groups are an effective vehicle through which a sense of family, openness, growth and
accountability is fostered while girls develop healthy relationships with peers and benefit from having godly mentors.
  • Teach and encourage girls now, and the result will be godly women in the future. Ministry to girls will look different in every church, but remember to include the five key components.
  • Groups may work through a Bible study together, spend time sharing prayer concerns, praying and working on missions/ministry projects. Make sure to provide opportunities for girls to put their faith into action through missions/ministry projects.

And you are COMPLETE through
 your union with Christ!
